The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision is consulting on draft guidelines on interaction and cooperation between prudential and AML/CFT supervision. It wants to enhance the effectiveness of banks’ AML/CFT controls. The consultation proposes changes to existing guidelines on management of ML and TF risks, including on co-operation and exchange of information in the authorisation process, in ongoing supervision and in enfrocement. and asks for comments by 6 February 2020.
