Government agrees cross-border information sharing

The Government has endorsed cross-border information sharing within corporate groups as a weapon to combat financial crime. The Government says sharing can help both the private sector and government agencies, but where the information is personal data there must be controls in place to make sure it is kept safely and used responsibly. Treasury and the Home Office have provided guidance to set the expected standards.
