A memorandum of understanding between the Serious Fraud Office and the FSCS has been published.
The MoU sets out the parties’ intentions to work together in the public interest to achieve appropriate outcomes in the investigation and prosecution of serious or complex fraud, bribery and corruption cases. The aims of the MoU are therefore to:
- assist cooperation and coordination between the SFO and FSCS in the performance of their statutory functions in the public interest so far as such assistance is lawful; and
- provide arrangements for cooperation and the exchange of useful information.
