Treasury has published its quarterly report on the functioning of TAFA, covering April to June 2020. The report shows that:
- total funds of £9,000 were frozen with 6 accounts or payments being frozen, but no new designations made;
- £24,000 was frozen under the EU Regulation on terrorist funding, with 3 accounts and payments frozen and no new designations;
- £75,000 was frozen under the EU Regulation on Al-Qaida etc, with 38 accounts and payments being frozen, with one new designation and 5 delistings; and
- there was no action under the 2016 EU Regulation imposing additional restrictive measures.
4 general licences remained current and 2 licences were issued under the ISIL-AQ regime.
