The European Commission has adopted new technical standards for the PRIIPs KID, which will apply from 1 July 2022 (so long as approved by the Council and Parliament), and will finally apply to all retail products. The Commission intends to apply a targeted “quick fix” of amendments to the PRIIPs Regulation and the UCITS Directive, which, among other things will end the obligation for UCITS to produce a UCITS KIID.
