FCA updates guidance on TPR landing slot changes

FCA has already started to email firms in the Temporary Permissions Regime (being firms that previously passported into the UK under Schedule 3 or Schedule 4 to FSMA) to confirm their ‘landing slot’: the period in which they can apply for non-temporary Part 4A permission, or apply to vary their existing Part 4A permission if the firm has a UK top-up permission. Some slots are now underway.

Under the previous wording on the FCA’s webpage, a firm’s request to change its landing slot must have been received by the FCA within 20 working days of the firm’s closing date.

This wording has been replaced and now reads: “We will consider requests, but normally these must be received no later than 20 working days before the last day of your firm’s allocated landing slot.
