The FCDO, OFSI and the ECJU have updated its guidance on the scope of the sanctions against Russia and when a licence might be available. The update caters for the most recent regulations (Amendment number 15), which in the main took effect on 29 October, and, among other things, create a new concept of a “category 5 loan” which is prohibited, insert provisions relating to gold jewellery and processed gold, provisions about liquefied natural gas (effective from 1 January 2023).
