OFSI has published its first set of FAQs on financial sanctions. It hopes they will be accessible and helpful to businesses. It will release new FAQs on an “as-needed” basis and does not plan generally to accept individual requests. Rather, it will publish FAQs when it thinks this could benefit a significant proportion of industry or the public. There are currently 91 questions, mainly about elements of the Russian sanctions, but some more general questions, including questions on licensing and definitions.
