Scales of Justice ( Lady of Justice) of the Central Criminal Court fondly known as The Old Bailey in the city of London, England, UK

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has published a starter guide to UK sanctions and guidance on how to report a suspected sanctions breach.

The starter guide is aimed at helping businesses and organisations understand what sanctions are and how they work, and runs through the regimes for: financial sanctions; director disqualification sanctions; trade sanctions; immigration sanctions; and transport sanctions. It also considers what key terms such as “ownership and control” mean, how exemptions and licences may apply, the importance of due diligence, and the consequences of circumventing sanctions regimes.
