The Payments Vision Delivery Committee, comprising HM Treasury, the BoE, FCA and PSR, has published its Payments Forward Plan, which sets out upcoming initiatives across retail and wholesale markets. It looks at what is coming and when, and how the National Payments Vision will be delivered. The Committee will also contribute to the Regulatory Initiatives Grid in its first 2027 publication.

Among the plans for 2026 are a consultation on the HMT review of assimilated payments laws, and and FCA engagement paper on the UK approach to it.
