The FCA has published a report summarising the work it has done with the Turing Institute and Plenitude Consulting on generating a synthetic dataset for use in fostering innovation in money laundering detection.

The dataset has been created using real data from retail banking, enhanced with synthetic scenarios from financial markets. The FCA will make the dataset available through its Digital Sandbox as part of its Synthetic Data AML Solution Sprint, and invites firms to apply for the Sprint by 26 April.
