The CityUK says that UK-EU collaboration and cooperation on financial and related professional services should be high on the agenda. It calls for a forward-looking UK-EU financial regulatory forum. It provides statistics that show that in 2024 the UK’s stock of outward FDI in EU financial services totalled 30% of outward FDI in the sector, and the EU’s stock of inward FDI in UK financial services totalled 26%, with financial and related professional services exports to the EU growing by 42% between 2020 and 2024.
