The Creditworthiness Assessment Bill is making its way through Parliament. The Bill requires certain matters to be taken into account when assessing a borrower’s creditworthiness by mandating that FCA rules oblige firms carrying on credit or home purchase related activities to take into account rental and council tax payment history.
