UK Finance has commented on FCA’s report on account access and closure – noting that the main reason for account closure is not because of political beliefs or other lawfully held views, but because of financial crime concerns. It notes that accounts are only closed after extensive review, and says the industry will work to implement the required changes for increased notice periods and better communications around changes.
