The FCA has published a 60 page document setting out its responses to questions raised but not answered at its AGM.
The answers are grouped into topics, including:
- AI – and in particular how to ensure vulnerable and under-represented customers are protected as AI increases in use;
- the Annual Public Meeting itself – in particular how the FCA publicised the meeting and allowed time for questions;
- the FCA’s investigation into Blackmore Bonds;
- consumer credit – particularly the progress of various reviews;
- the Consumer Duty, and how the FCA will judge whether firms are providing better outcomes for customers;
- consumer protection;
- crypto regulation including why the FCA changed its previous view on offering crypto ETNs to retail investors;
- the interplay between the FCA and the FOS;
- mortgage prisoners; and
- many questions about motor finance commission.
