HMRC has updated its website with details of businesses against which it has recently taken action for breach of MLRs. In the period from October 2024 – March 2025, there have been many fines, including:
- on a variety of mainly estate agents and accountancy service providers, but also some art market participants, money service businesses and trust and company service providers for failing to apply for registration;
- a few fines for failing to notify HMRC of a material change;
- a fine against an ASP for various failings in risk assessments, policies, procedures and training;
- no prohibitions on management (in fact there have ben none since 2020)
