FCA has announced that its new platform, which replaces Gabriel, is called RegData, and that it is preparing to move all firms across to it. It will move firms over in groups, depending on the nature of their reporting obligations and their reporting schedules. It plans to give firms 3 weeks’ notice of a move, with reminders nearer the time. Before moving, firms will need to check their Gabriel details are up to date, have nominated the right users and administrators and have only the right other users active on the system.
FCA hopes RegData will be more user-friendly and accessible than Gabriel, and will keep firms informed of progress.
