PSR intends to operate confidentiality ring as part of card-acquiring services market review

The PSR has published a Notice of intention to operate a confidentiality ring following the publication of its interim report in the market review into card-acquiring services in September 2020.

Following a request by a party, the PSR has decided to disclose the merchant survey data to certain interested parties through a confidentiality ring to help parties respond to its consultation. Access will be granted to a limited number of approved external economic and legal advisers of certain parties with an interest in the consultation, who will be required to sign individual and firm-level undertakings before they will be granted access to the confidentiality ring.

Interested parties are required to send an expression of interest in obtaining access to the merchant survey disclosure by 4 December 2020, 5pm.
