FCA has published data showing the number of financial promotions that have been amended or withdrawn in the first quarter of 2021. The figures do not include any actions FCA took as a result of unapproved promotions from unauthorised firms.
During the quarter, it reviewed 441 promotions (of which nearly half were referred to it by consumers) and, as a result, 38 cases resulted in 105 promotions being amended or withdrawn through FCA’s action with authorised firms. Nearly half the cases related to retail lending.
