FCA has accepted 10 firms into its Green FinTech Challenge 2021 which aims to enable the FCA to take a more active role in driving innovation in products and services that will aid the transition to a net-zero economy.
Of the 25 applicants who submitted applications before the deadline on 6 December 2021, the FCA has approved 5 firms for the Regulatory Sandbox and a further 5 firms for its Direct Support services. These firms will benefit from a package of support services as well as bespoke support and engagement.
FCA has also published a new webpage explaining the success of Cogo, one of the firms accepted into the pilot Challenge in 2018. Cogo is an app which enables users to better understand their carbon footprint, and provides information on how to improve and compensate for their climate impact.
