Update on Overseas Entities Register

Read our updated article on the creation of the Overseas Entities Register under the Economic Crime (Transparency and Enforcement) Act 2022.  The article highlights that the grace period given to overseas entities to apply to register following Royal Assent was reduced from 18 months to 6. This was in reaction to concerns that the grace period was long enough for entities to sell up before the registration requirements took effect.  As a further mitigant, any entity that disposed of property from 28 February until the end of the transitional period will have to register or submit information on the sale.
