FCA revised Complaints Scheme delayed

Following a joint consultation with the Bank of England and the PRA which ended on 12 October 2020, the FCA has advised they are still in the process of updating their Complaints Scheme which promises to be more user friendly by using plain language to make it more accessible to regulated businesses and consumers who wish to make complaints against any of the regulators.

Although previously indicating that the revised Complaints Scheme and policy statement will be published by the end of April 2022, the FCA has stated that there will be a delay in order to consider the the publication of the Interest Rate Hedging Product review and the report from the Office of the Complaints Commissioner on the FCA’s handling of complaints in relation to London Capital & Finance.
