FCA publishes latest Financial Lives survey

FCA is inviting participants in its 2022 Financial Lives survey to take part in the new follow-up survey, which looks to understand what has changed in financial services for people in the UK over the last year.

The follow-up research is targeted at participants of the 2022 survey, which was carried out between February and June last year. It will be conducted by the independent research agency Critical Research, and covers questions about participants’ current circumstances, the financial products and services they have, and how these might have changed over the last year or so. FCA has also published a FAQs document concerning the follow-up research.

FCA is keen to understand participants’ experiences with financial service providers, and how those experiences have impacted them. In December 2022 and January this year, it recontacted the 2022 participants to find out how they were coping with the increased cost of living. Results of that survey – which received more than 5000 respondents – are anticipated soon.

The deadline for completing the new survey is 23 June 2023, although some groups have been asked to respond by an earlier date.
