TPT Disclosure Framework published

The TPT Disclosure Framework, published by the Transition Plan Taskforce, contains guidance and recommendations to help companies make disclosures that are high quality, consistent and comparable. The aim of this is to provide investors with better forward-looking information with the hopes of enabling them to better assess a company’s future prospects and to give them confidence to finance the transition.

For example, the TPT Framework recommends that the company’s strategic climate ambition be disclosed, along with how this ambition is reflected in its implementation and engagement approaches, its governance and accountability arrangements, and its financial plans.

The TPT Framework has been designed to align with the transition planning guidance developed by the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero and the reporting standards developed by the ISSB. Companies have been told to engage with the Framework at this stage as it will be drawn on by FCA when developing disclosure expectations for listed companies, asset managers and FCA-regulated asset owners.
