BoE and PRA set up CBA panel

The PRA and BoE have set up a cost benefit analysis panel (CBA Panel) to advise on the preparation of cost benefit analyses when the two bodies put forward new regulatory proposals.

The CBA Panel is also able to recommend to the PRA and BoE how it can better improve its methodologies and approach to cost benefit analysis.

Laurel Powers- Freeling has been appointed Chair of the CBA Panel and will sit for an initial term of three years.

The panel will begin reviewing the costs benefit analyses of new policy proposals from 1 August 2024.
