FCA publishes discussion paper on pensions regulation

The FCA has published a discussion paper on adapting requirements in the pensions sector.

The FCA noted that these is a programme of policy changes underway to this area of the market, but wants the paper to stimulate discussion on other areas of regulation where further changes might be needed to better support customers. It invites stakeholders to consider a number of discussion prompts, including:

• The regulatory framework governing projections
• Requirements for defined contribution transfers and consolidation
• Self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs)

The call for feedback closes on 27 February 2025.
