FSB announces establishment of Cross-Border Payments Data Forum

The FSB has announced the establishment of a Forum on Cross-Border Payments Data, as a result of its recommendations for cross-border data frameworks published in December 2024.

The Forum will bring together experts in payments, AML, CTF, sanctions and data privacy and protection in order to strengthen cooperation on data-related issues like collection, storage and management.

The first meeting is due to be held in May, chaired by Gianmatteo Piazza of the Bank of Italy.
