FCA finishes consumer investment policy sprint

The FCA has concluded a 6-week policy sprint on new ways to assist consumers in making important investment decisions. The initiative is part of the FCA’s work on targeted support and bridging the gap between bespoke financial advice and guidance.

On 8 April 2025, FCA hosted a showcase in which authorised firms – including retail banks, platform providers and wealth managers – presented customer journeys they had developed to support consumers considering investment decisions.

This is the first policy sprint that the FCA has conducted in this format, namely testing a future rule set before conducting a formal consultation. The aim of the sprint was to accelerate final policy proposals to be put out for consultation by the end of June 2025.
