Laura WilesHM Treasury has confirmed which firms operating in the wholesale cash distribution system have been recognised under Part 5A of the Banking Act, which gives it the power to specify persons involved in wholesale cash distribution to be recognised for the purposes of the BoE’s wholesale cash oversight regime.
Wholesale cash oversight orders were issued to:
- Vaultex UK
- G4S Cash Centres (UK)
- Post Office
- National Westminster Bank
- Royal Bank of Scotland
- Lloyds Bank
- Bank of Scotland
- Barclays Bank UK
- Barclays Bank
- HSBC UK Bank
- HSBC Bank
- Santander UK
