Laura WilesThree ‘finfluencers’ have appeared before Westminster Magistrates’ Court charged with offences relating to illegal promotions on social media posts.
Charles Hunter, Kayan Kalipha and Luke Desmaris are accused of encouraging social media followers to invest in FX trading through high-risk contracts for difference without having the authorisation to promote these investments. All three defendants pleaded not guilty and will appear at Southwark Crown Court on 8 October 2025.
The proceedings are part of a wider crackdown by the FCA on illegal promotions and a coordinated global enforcement effort.
