Skills Commission launches research on AI’s impact on the financial services workforce

The Financial Services Skills Commission has launched research into how AI and disruptive technologies are likely to change the financial services workforce and its skills needs over the next 5-10 years. The research is part of the government’s financial services growth and competitiveness strategy.

To inform the research, the Commission has opened a call for evidence, seeking input from financial services firms, trade associations, representative bodies, technology providers and training providences, closing on 26 November 2025.

There will also be a series of regional roundtables in Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Leeds and London.
