FCA consults on consolidated tape

The FCA is consulting on introducing a UK equity consolidated tape, that will bring data from across UK markets together. The FCA wants the tape to include post-trade data and the attributed best bid and offer prices from the pre-trade data. It plans to bring the tape into operation in 2027.

The FCA is also looking for potential providers.

Consultation closes on 30 January 2026.
