Laura WilesThe FCA is launching a Synthetic Data AML Solution Sprint exploring how synthetic data can support the development of innovative AML transaction monitoring solutions.
The sprint aims to:
- Support innovation in AML transaction monitoring using synthetic data;
- Understand how synthetic data can develop, test and validate AML solutions; and
- Provide insights on the opportunities and limitations of synthetic data in AML and financial crime detection more broadly.
Applications close on 26 April 2026, and the sprint will run from 13 May to 8 July.
