PRA proposes removing ‘shared services’ rules for ring-fenced bodies

The PRA is consulting on the continuity of provision of services rules for ring-fenced bodies.

The key changes would remove the existing ‘shared services’ rules on the basis that other prudential and resolution frameworks – particularly the Operational Continuity in Resolution (OCIR) regime – now provide sufficient protections.

The consultation closes on 14 October 2026.
