ESMA has published a set of consultation papers on sustainable finance initiatives, seeking views on:
- draft technical advice on integrating sustainability risks and factors into MiFID 2, the AIFMD and UCITS Directives frameworks; and
- CRA guidelines aimed at improving the quality and consistency of environmental, social and governance factors when considered as part of a credit rating action
ESMA seeks comments within 3 months, so it can produce the technical advice by the end of April 2019 and will hold a public hearing on 4 February.
