Laura WilesHM Treasury and the US Treasury – forming the UK-US Financial Regulatory Working Group – have published a joint statement outlining discussion points from their June meeting.
The meeting emphasised ongoing cooperation between the two countries, and focussed on a number of key themes, including:
- the economic and financial stability outlook;
- regulatory developments;
- digital finance and innovation; and
- the investment environment.
The Working Group will reconvene by early 2026.
