FCA publishes latest Handbook Notice

The FCA has published Handbook Notice 140 which sets out a number of changes, most of which we’ve reported on elsewhere, including:

• Updating the FEES manual to reflect the 2026/27 management expenses levy limit;
• Inserting the Short Selling Rules sourcebook (SSR), to replace assimilated EU regulation on shorting selling and aspects of credit default swaps;
• Various changes to implement the first phase of reforms to the SMCR;
• Various changes to reflect the implementation of the final motor vehicle finance commission scheme; and
• Minor changes to simplify or clarify listing requirements.
