EMIR updating Regulation published in OJ

Regulation (EU) 2019/2099 amending EMIR (commonly known as EMIR 2.2) has been published in the OJ.

The objective of amendments introduced by this regulation includes the establishment of a CCP supervisory committee to encourage a more consistent approach to CCP supervision across the EU, and a new two tier system for the classification of the systemic importance of third country CCPs.

The new Regulation will apply from 1 January 2020.
