The FCA has published CP21/1: restricting CMC charges for financial services and products claims.
The consultation looks to:
- address consumer harm by restricting the fees that a consumer can be charged for non-PPI claims
- enhance requirements to ensure CMCs provide more information to consumers to ensure they can make an informed choice about the CMC services
- update other relevant rules relating to CMCs
