FCA Publish consultation on CMC Charging

The FCA has published CP21/1: restricting CMC charges for financial services and products claims.

The consultation looks to:

• address consumer harm by restricting the fees that a consumer can be charged for non-PPI claims
• enhance requirements to ensure CMCs provide more information to consumers to ensure they can make an informed choice about the CMC services
• update other relevant rules relating to CMCs

The FCA are seeking comments by 21 April 2021.  If you wish to contribute, you should email your responses to cp21-01@fca.org.uk
