IRSG consults on draft ESG Provider code

The ESG Data and Ratings Code of Conduct Working Group and the International Regulatory Strategy Group, together with the International Capital Market Association, is consulting on a draft voluntary Code of Conduct for ESG data and ratings providers. FCA had commissioned the IRSG (which is a joint venture between the City of London Corporation and TheCityUK) and ICMA to convene the DRWG

The Code proposes key best practice principles of:

• good governance
• systems and controls
• conflicts of interest
• transparency

Consultation closes on 5 October.
