Lucy HadrillOn 6 November, the application window for the FCA’s financial promotions gateway opened. Firms now have three months to apply for approver permission if they want to continue approving financial promotions for unauthorised persons beyond 6 February 2024.
The legislative changes implementing the gateway will take effect from 7 February 2024 – firms which have not applied for the gateway will not be able to approve promotions for unauthorised persons unless under an exemption or they apply for a VOP.
