Emma RadmoreFCA’s latest authorisations metrics, for the quarter ending September 2023 shows overall improvement in meeting targets. 96.8% of all applications met statutory deadlines, and of the 16 metrics only 2 are red. These are applications for authorisations under the PSRs and EMRs, which have been red for the past year. While the EMR application figures are steadily improving, the PSR figure has dropped sharply to only 66% of applications meeting target. All other metrics are at 90% of over. In the past quarter, FCA has determined 509 authorisation applications (missing the deadline on another 31) and around 2800 approvals for individuals (under the SMCR or for ARs and missing the deadline on around 100).
