The December 2023 Financial Stability Report shows little change from the previous version. Conditions remain challenging and households and businesses continue to face higher borrowing costs. However, the banking system is strong enough to support businesses and consumers even if the economy does worse than expected and the UK, like other countries, continues to tackle the threats from non-bank finance.
