FCA publishes quarterly consultation

The FCA has published its regular quarterly consultation on miscellaneous amendments to its Handbook. The proposed amendments include a new Statement of Policy setting out the FCA’s approach to using the enforcement powers given to it under the new regime for the oversight of critical third parties (CTP) (created by FSMA 2023). This section of the consultation is intended to sit alongside the CTP consultation papers which did not deal with enforcement provisions.

The latest quarterly consultation also sets out proposed amendments to FEES and the TC sourcebook, including a proposal to implement an annual consultation cycle for updates to the qualification-related elements of TC.

Consultation on the FEES changes closes on 11 March 2024. For comments on the proposed CTP and TC changes, the consultation is open until 8 April 2024.
