PSR calls for evidence on LINK requirements

The PSR has published a call for views on its second annual review of Specific Direction 12, which is aimed at ensuring that LINK keeps a good geographical spread of free-to-use cash machines, and has appropriate and effective policies and measures in place to meet the needs of service users. The current Direction will stay in place until 2 January 2025 unless the PSR varies or revokes it.

The PSR’s current research indicates that 99.7% of the UK population are within 3 miles of a FTU cash machine, and 95.1% are within 1 mile.

The call for views asks how well the Direction is working in practice, and seeks thoughts on its role in light of the changes FSMA 2023 has introduced.

The PSR asks for views by 2 May.
