The All Party Parliamentary Group on Fair Business Banking has called for input into its SME manifesto. The document, which wants to address the challenges that face SMEs when dealing with financial institutions, is focussing on access to finance and dispute resolution. It has been looking particularly at how to address the funding gap that SMEs face, and on how a suggested Financial Services Tribunal for SMEs could work, as well as what regulatory protections should be extended to SMEs.
The group has already had many discussions with various stakeholders but now needs industry input ahead of presenting a manifesto to all the major political parties ahead of the general election.
