The latest NCA SARs annual statistical report shows a decrease in the total number of SARs compared to the previous year, which is mainly because of fewer SARs being made by high street banks, although banks still account for 65% of the total. DAML SARs were also less because of changes in the law, but as a result of the DAMLs made, the amount of funds denied to suspected criminals increased.
