Following the Mansion House speech, HM Treasury has published several letters to regulators, setting out requests and clarifying their remit:
- to the FCA and PSR on payments regulation;
- to the BoE for the Prudential Regulation Committee;
- to the FCA on recommendations for it;
- remit and recommendations for the FPC; and
- request to the PRA and FCA for a report on the mutuals sector landscape.
It has also published its open call for evidence on the Financial Services Growth and Competitiveness Strategy, which seeks views by 12 December on the pillars on which the government will build its policy and the roles of the various regulators in helping it to do so.
