At the February FATF plenary meeting, it:
- updated the list of high risk jurisdictions, to add Lao People’s Democratic Republic and Nepal, and remove the Philippines from increased monitoring;
- agreed changes to its standards to better support a risk-based approach and support financial inclusion; and
- finalised its work on combating financial flows related to online child sexual exploitation.
Giles Thomson, currently OFSI Director, will be the next FATF Vice President, taking up the 2 year position in July.
