HM Treasury signed up to the Women in Finance Charter in 2016. Since then, its own female representation in senior management, as at March 2024, had increased from 43% to 50%. Treasury has been prioritising:
- a long term action plan to help reduce the gender pay gap through key pay and non-pay actions;
- improving and maintaining the representation of women in finance;
- setting its own targets for woman in the Senior Civil Service. As well as the 50% representation, it reports that over 58% of its Executive Management Board positions are held by women; and
- its own Women in the Treasury Network.
